All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

1A- I started by choosing some beachy colours from my cardstock stash.

B- die cut the pieces from the Tagbook Pop Up as shown. (Karen has a video tutorial on the card assembly on product page at the link ⬆️ )

2A- it’s hard to tell in the photos but I am cutting 2 layers at a time of the pool colours. I have the darker for the water and the lighter for the sky.

B- NO GLUING YET, I am just laying down the pieces so I know that when I cut out the waves (Tropical Scene dieset) the edge of the sky will still be covered

C-This is what it looks like so far

3A- I missed a photo, but I trimmed off the arms and separated the panels. I didn’t want a fold in a fold so I trimmed a smidge off the inside of the tags where they would meet in the fold. NOTE: I could have used the tag dies in the set to do this. But then I would have had a thin brown border around each tag and that was not the look I was going for. It would have been easier to do it this way though. The little pieces that cover the arms is another die in the set that cuts them perfectly.

B- I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

C- , fold and add to the card base (like I mentioned above Karen has a video tutorial on the product page )

I messed up a little bit, I did start adding some of the decorations but didn’t like the look of where the inside mechanism meets the card base so I’m posting the directions in the order that I should have done it so you might see glimpses of steps that will be coming ahead.

1A-Using a die from the Topper Tags set I diecut the sky colour and the sand colour, the same way as step 2.

B- I used the edge from the Beach Elements to cut the sand piece. I also trimmed notches into the pieces as shown so I can fit the pieces around the arms.

C- this is how it looks so far. If I were making this card again I would have done this step before I put in the mechanism section.

1A- I used Tiny Accessories 4 and the Princess and Mermaid set to make 2 of the beachy gals.

B- I used the Gnomes and Santa to make this snorkeler.

C- I hand cut the shorts and legs and added the flippers.

D- the umbrella is from the Beach Elements , and ball and flip flops are from the Beach Charms

E- the frame and rectangle are from the Tagbook set that I used to make the card base. The shell is from Sea Charms set.

for all the pieces I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

F- this is what the inside looks like so far.

6A- I added ribbon the to the tags on the cardbase and the mechanism. I used 4 different ribbons, on both ends.

B- I added gemstones randomly around the card.

C- using the same diesets I added the scene on the front. I added the umbrella so it was back to back with the umbrella that was on the inside. “Happy Birthday” is from Wordset 2- Birthday and to make “Beachy” I used “beach” from Word set 16 Beach Happy Hour set. The “y” is trimmed off the word “happy” from the same set. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

Other Tools used

Lineco Neutral PH Adhesive
